The tide is high - Over the years...


Chances are you first heard this song via Blondie's cover, but here's the real McCoy.

Most of you may have discovered ska through the third wave ska craze about decade ago with the likes of Goldfinger, Sublime, No Doubt, Reel Big Fish among others. However, what I have here is the original incarnation of ska.

This song isn't too rare but still fairly hard to come by.

This isn't really such a deviation from my typical postings, ska is somewhat of a distant cousin of punk if you think about it. This original ska from the 60s. Before Reel Big Fish and Might Mighty Bosstones and even before The Specials. Reggae and ska are branches on the same tree. The sounds and style somewhat overlap, though reggae tends to have a slower pace.
