Good Vibrations

The song Good vibrations from tour in 1976 including birthday party of brian with paul and linda Mccartney ...

I love this video, especially the part that shows Brian's birthday party in June,1976 with Paul McCartney and his daughter, Dennis and his third wife Karen ,Carl and his wife, Annie, and Carl's two sons.

Listen to the beautiful harmony when :
Carl - verses + "Gotta keep this lovin' good vibrations are happening with her" 1st time
Mike - "I'm pickin up good vibrations, she's givin' me exaltations" + "I don't know where but she sends me there"
Brian - "Good, good, good, good vibrations" + "Gotta keep this lovin' good vibrations are happening with her" 2nd and 3rd time

Panic in the streets...

A story circulated as the basis for the song is that days before recording the song, Marr and Morrissey were listening to the radio when a news report announced the Chernobyl disaster.

Right after the report, the DJ played the song "I'm your man" by Wham .

Morrisey found himself saying, 'What the fuck does this got to do with people's lives?'".

"We hear about Chernobyl, then, seconds later, we're expected to jump around to 'I'm Your Man'".

The band even comissioned a t-shirt featuring Wright's portrait and the phrase "Hang the DJ!"

H o l i d a y !! No. 1 hit !!

here are the lyrics of No.1 hit in UK - Holiday by Dizzee Rascal...

In the first video ' he's talking about the song - nice...

In the second video - he is doing it live in V-Festival...

Holiday Lyrics :

Get your passport and your bikini
You need a holiday, come see me

I know you're tired of the same old scenery
And I could change all that so easily
Don't worry about a thing girl, take a chance
I'll take you to the South of France, like Cannes If anyone can I can
Or we can go shopping in Milan
I just hope you understand I hope you see it clear It really don't matter how far or near
Cus there's no distance that can stop my persistence
It's just a few days in the year
Plus I've got clout so let's ride out

We ain't gotta fly, we can just drive out

We can have a rave or we can hide out

I won't tell nobody let them find out
If you ain't doing nothing let's fly away Drive away, get away
We can go to the club or hide away

We can do what you want to, baby
If you ain't doing nothing let's fly away Drive away, take a holiday
We can go to the club or hide away

We can do what you want to, baby
Don't watch my passport photo,
I know I look a bit loco
And I know that my
Spanish is so-so
But let's try keep that on the low-low
Cus we're going Ibiza
I've got friends that really wanna meet ya
With champagne and a whole lot of love
It's all good darling in the Blue Marlin Ibiza And I'll never let your belly get empty
Even when your belly's full you're still sexy

We can ride speed boats, we can ride jet skis
I'll show you the time of your life if you let me
I just want to put a smile on your pretty face...

Strange - Grace Jones

I first heard this song as background in the film "Frantic" with Harrison Ford - and I was hooked!!

For many years I have been a fan of Grace Jones, who is an icon for the gay community.

The beat of this song, the French, Grace's peformance...

This song is myone of the classics in the soundtrack industry.

I hear it over and over and it doesn't get old.

I gotta feeling - Home Video

This video is the best ever!

The 2 girls did a great job! good song and good video I love it!

they worked rly hard and they ended making an awesome job..

It is amazing!

How does it feel ?

How does it feel
To treat me like you do
When you've laid laid your hands upon me
And told me who you are

I thought I was mistaken
I thought I heard your words
Tell me how do I feel
Tell me now how do I feel

Those who came before me
Lived through their vocations
From the past until completion
They will turn away no more

And I still find it so hard
To say what I need to say
But I'm quite sure that you'll tell me
Just how I should feel today

I see a ship in the harbor
I can and shall obey
But if it wasn't for your misfortunes
I'd be a heavenly person today

And I thought I was mistaken
And I thought I heard you speak
Tell me how do I feel
Tell me now how should I feel

Now I stand here waiting

I thought I told you to leave me
While I walked down to the beach
Tell me how does it feel
When your heart grows cold

Stevie Wonder and friends

George Michael and Mary J. Blige covered "As" in the late 90's.

Will Smith used "I Wish" as the basis for the theme song to his movie,'Wild Wild West'.

the chorus and music of the song Gangsta's Paradise was based on "Pastime Paradise" (1976).

Wonder performed the song with Coolio and L.V. at the 1995 Billboard Awards.

Iran People - We stand by you !!!

Iranian Superstar Andy Madadian went into an LA recording studio with Jon Bon Jovi, Richie Sambora and American record producers Don Was and John Shanks to record a musical message of worldwide solidarity with the people of Iran.

This version of the old Ben E. King classic is not for sale - it was not meant to be on the Billboard charts or even manufactured as a CD.....it's intended to be downloaded and shared by the Iranian people...to give voice to the sentiment that all people of the world stand together....the handwritten Farsi sign in the video translates to "we are one".

Hold me - close to your heart

In many countries the single was not as successful as the band's previous, "Take on Me",
which hit #1 in the U.S. and several countries around the world.

In the UK and Ireland, it was a big hit !!

I love this song , fresh , new and have something else in it..

Sugarhill Gang & the babies

Sugar Hill is the #1 Hip Hop.

Even though the Sugarhill Gang were far from the best around back then , you have to have a strong appreciation for the fact that it was them who first broke through into the mainstream with hip-hop.

I loved this rap then and I still do today.

I remember when this rap came out.

So small yet already incredible!

Sound Of Silence - the music still live on...

It is really sad to think about the fact that soon, the older generation of music will die away physically but the music will still live on.

I truly believe that the talent of the past will never be repeated again and that the roots of simplicity will be overshadowed by pointless rap and electric guitars as well as voice enhancers.

Everly Brothers - Nice Fmily

Watch the Everlies sing their hits 'Wake up little Susie' and 'Should we tell him' in 1958.

This was written by the husband and wife team of Felice and Boudleaux Bryant, who wrote most of The Everly Brothers songs in the '50s. Their songs were also recorded by Bob Dylan, Elvis, and Buddy Holly.

This is about a young couple who fall asleep at the drive-in, realize they are out past curfew, and make up a story to tell Susie's parents.

Some Boston radio stations banned this because of the lyrics. At the time, staying out late with a girl was a little controversial.

For The Everly Brothers, this was the first of 4 US #1 hits. It also went to #1 on the Country & Western charts.

At an appearance on The Oprah Winfrey Show while campaigning for President in year 2000, George W. Bush was asked by Oprah what his favorite song was. He said: "Wake Up Little Susie - by Buddy Holly."

Simon and Garfunkel played this at their 1981 concert in Central Park. The live recording was released as a single the next year and hit #27 in the US.

Chet Atkins played guitar on this. Atkins, who died of cancer in 2001, was a Nashville musician who created a distinctive sound using a 3-fingered picking technique.

Pope - Don't preach

Papa Don't Preach opens with a superb violin arrangement, before breaking out with a classic beat.

The drums are ever present, but the violins add that distressed feeling to the song, which is perfect for what the song's subject is about.

Madonna then begins the first verse with, "Papa I know you are going to be upset, 'cos I was always your little girl, but you should know by now, I'm not a baby."

The song is about an accidental teenage pregnancy that worries Madonna deeply.

She dreads the day that she has to tell her father, who is against her even seeing the man who has got her pregnant.

Madonna then sings a fantastic bridge before she moves into the epic chorus with the lyrics, "Papa don't preach, I'm in trouble deep.

Papa don't preach, I've been losing sleep, but I made up my mind - I'm keeping my baby, I'm gonna keep my baby!" Madonna then carries on singing her second verse, bridge and chorus, all while under the dramatic influence of the violin. The song then breaks into a glorious solo with just the violin.

The song then starts up again with the lyrics, "Daddy, daddy if you could only see, just how good he's been treating me, you'd give us our blessing right now, 'cos we are in love...we are in love!" And from there on, the song continues with the fabulous choruses and Madonna's ever-determined effort to make her father see the positive side that she's pregnant.

Sarah Palin Should Have Known Better ...

Composed by John Lennon , this song video clip was performed in the train compartment scene of A Hard Day's Night.

It was in fact filmed in a van, with big guys rocking the vehicle to fake the action of a train in motion....

Listen to Lennon's harmonica opens this beautiful song...
Enjoy...

U2 - An Intelligence Aircraft ???

Did you know that ???

The post is, of course, about the legendery band U2.

Not very much knows that the leader of U2 Bono (Paul David Hewson) has really originally auditioned as a guitarist but couldn't play. He auditioned as lead vocals, but really couldn't sing.

As the years went by, the band finally set up as U2 her members were :

  • Bono (Paul David Hewson) on vocals, and occasional rhythm guitar and harmonica

  • The Edge (David Howell Evans) on lead guitar, keyboards and backup vocals

  • Larry Mullen Jr. on drums and percussion.

  • Adam Clayton on bass.

They came to perform in Israel in the 90's...

We were there !

It was great !!!
