He's My Brother

We are blessed to have a great song like this help remember our brother after all these years.

This song gives me chills still .

One of the most touching lines in this song... 'He ain't heavy, he's my brother'.

The Hollies is probably the most under rated Rock & Roll group in history.

Windin' your way down on Baker Street

I remember this tune being on the radio in 1978.

I was a 9 years old kid in my provincial home town , listening to an old radio transistor with my cousin.

heard this song on a meeting with friend in a coffee shop - when my friend Gideon asked me the name of the artist ....

Well , I didn't exactly know it , then he discovered me -- it was Gary Rafferty...

Love the chorus lines :

You used to think that it was so easy
You used to say that it was so easy
But you're tryin'
You're tryin' now
Another year and then you'll be happy
Just one more year and then you'll be happy
But you're cryin'
You're cryin' now

Driver's Seat

I have to admit , not many people remember this song .

For years I didn't know the name of the band -

Sniff 'n' the Tears

The song was used on the Pioneer car radio advert back in the 90's...

Fandango - A whiter shade of pale

Gary Brooker recalled the writing of the music : "I'd been listening to a lot of Classical music, and Jazz.
'A Whiter Shade Of Pale' seemed to be about two people, a relationship even. It's a memory. There was a leaving, and a sadness about it. To get the soul of those lyrics across vocally, to make people feel that, was quite an accomplishment.

When it came to me , I thought, 'Here's something.' I happened to be at the piano when I read them, already playing a musical idea. It fitted the lyrics within a couple of hours. Things can be gifted. If you trace the chordal element, it does a bar or two of Bach's 'Air On A G String' before it veers off.

That spark was all it took. I wasn't consciously combining Rock with Classical, it's just that Bach's music was in me."

Dedicated to my dear brother Nir Halfon and his family...

Don't Stop The Rock - Cadbury

This song was written produced by pretty tony as were trinere and debbie debb.

He was the man back in those days.

I think Freestyle was a band he invented just to get his music out there.

Freestyle music was very much a producers medium like disco back in the day and how hip hop is now.

This add is for the chocolate of Cadbury ...

Turn turn turn ...

The Byrds were popular and influential through the latter part of the 1960s and early 1970s.

I never get tired of hearing this song either and I think Forrest Gump was the most endearing character in a movie ever.

He truly knew what LOVE was!
Forrest Gump is the greatest movie i ever seen, and the exact choice of song for the movie..

Rod Stewart - Jorge Ben Jor wannabe ??

This is the greatest song ever no matter what those Jorge Ben Jor fans say!

Jorge Ben Jor should thank Rod Stewart for making his little melody thing internationally recognized as one of the BEST melodies in disco history!!!

Legendary Debbie Harry to Israel this July !!

Blondie, Debbie Harry's band, will perform at the Raanana Park on July 3 celebrating 30 years since their first album, "Parallel Lines".

The career of the pop-rock band Blondie was short but their music is of such a quality that more than 25 years later, Blondie's music is still successful, the mark of gifted artists.

We will be there!!

Earth Wind & Fire - Groove !!

Those were the days where it didn't matter how old you were, if you wanted to dance to it, you were loved by everyone.

Nowadays people judge on appearance and labels .

Too bad the progression of good black music is now nonsense rap....
